The Christ House Thrift Store serves thousands of poor and beautiful souls every year. We sell gently used items to the public--100% of the proceeds from the store support the Emergency Assistance program which assists families in crisis–-and we also provide clothing vouchers to the homeless and low-income.

What We Do

The Christ House Thrift Store sells gently used clothing, household items, artwork and small furniture at affordable prices to our neighbors. The Thrift Store also provides clothing vouchers to homeless and low-income residents of the Diocese of Arlington.

We welcome your donations* of:

  • clothing
  • accessories
  • handbags
  • shoes (all seasons)
  • antiques
  • collectibles
  • jewelry
  • artwork
  • household items
  • knick-knacks
  • and small pieces of furniture such as plant stands, accent tables and wood chairs.

Please drop off donations during business hours at 125 S. West Street in Alexandria. Thank you for your support and God bless you!

*We cannot accept computer equipment, baby furniture, toys, books, and stuffed animals.

    Hours of Operation:

    The Christ House thrift shop is open six days a week:

    • Monday - 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
    • Tuesday through Saturday - 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

    Where do proceeds from the store go?

    100% of the proceeds from the store support the Emergency Assistance program.  Emergency Assistance helps prevent evictions and the cut-off of essential utilities for families in crisis. Whether you shop or donate, you are helping those in need!
