Catholic Charities Education & Workforce Ministry is dedicated to empowering individuals through classes that cultivate essential daily living skills and enhance employability at a low cost. Our English as a Second Language (ESOL) course prioritizes the development of English proficiency through comprehensive instruction in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. To cater to diverse learning needs and to ensure accessibility for all our students, we provide six levels of English language instruction. Alongside our English classes, we offer a citizenship preparation program aimed at equipping our students for successful integration and thriving as U.S. citizens. Additionally, our specialized workforce development courses offer a pathway to personal and professional development. Join us as we embark on a journey of growth and skill enhancement together.

Adult English & Citizenship Classes

Education & Workforce Development prides itself in offering English as a Second Language (ESOL) & Citizenship courses. Our low-cost classes are offered online & in-person across Northern Virginia. We offer Citizenship & six different levels of ESL in the following locations.

Adult Workforce Development Courses

Catholic Charities provides Workforce Development courses to encourage personal & professional growth. Below are the following classes.

Computer Literacy

Our Computer Literacy program is offered exclusively at the Manassas location and consists of two courses. Each course utilizes lessons and materials developed by NorthStar Digital Literacy. Students who complete a course will receive a certificate from NorthStar Digital Literacy.

Computación Básica (Computer Literacy en Español)

Nuestro programa de Computación Básica se ofrece exclusivamente en Manassas y se compone de dos cursos. Cada curso utiliza lecciones y materiales desarrollados por NorthStar Digital Literacy. Los estudiantes que finalicen un curso recibirán un certificado de NorthStar Digital Literacy.

English for Childcare

Our online Childcare Program is an integrated education and training program that increases students’ English language proficiency, while providing workforce preparation activities and training in the field of early childhood education. We offer two levels of Childcare Training. You will also achieve an American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
