Pregnancy, Adoption, Counseling and Free Medical Care

We offer accessible and transformational healthcare services integrated with the Catholic faith to the vulnerable in our Diocese.

Need Help?

At Catholic Charities we seek to serve the whole person – as our faith calls us to do. In addition to providing for material needs, we offer medical and psychological services to care for the physical and mental well-being of those we serve.

Serving Those Without Healthcare Insurance

The Mother of Mercy Free Health Clinic in Manassas serves low-income men and women without healthcare insurance. Established in 2017, the pro-life clinic is open four days a week. Its volunteer professional staff includes primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, cardiologists, a pulmonologist, an orthopedic doctor, a chiropractor, a pharmacist, physical therapist, respiratory therapist, phlebotomist, dietician, and registered and licensed practical nurses.

Beginning in early 2019, the clinic will offer prenatal care. The clinic offers classes to help patients learn about nutrition, diabetes and gluten intolerance, and exercise, among other topics. The adjacent Catholic Charities office provides patients with additional services, including a baby closet, and emergency food supplies.

Responding to Mental Health Needs

We serve the psychological needs of our patients through our Family Services mental health counseling program. We provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families at multiple locations and 16 parishes throughout the Diocese. Fees are charged on a sliding scale, depending on patient income.

Catholic Charities is responding to the Church’s sexual abuse crisis by providing counseling to any victim of abuse, at no cost, regardless of where the abuse occurred.

Led by our Bishop, Catholic Charities is working with parishes and families to address the current opioid crisis, which has devastated families and communities within our Diocese.

Our Pregnancy and Adoption Services
