Serving the most vulnerable of God’s people
Our mission at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Arlington, emphasizes our Christian “duty to serve the most vulnerable of God’s people.” As a Catholic organization, we seek to offer vulnerable people integrated services that address the needs of whole person.
Our Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinics located in Manassas, which opened in 2017, and Woodbridge, opened in 2020, serve an estimated 4,500 low-income people without health insurance in Manassas, Manassas Park, Prince William County and Woodbridge. The free clinics primarily serve adults since children in low-income families can often receive medical insurance through Medicaid.
Seeking Volunteers
The Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinics are searching for medical professionals to volunteer at our Manassas clinic and at the new Woodbridge clinic. We are currently using telemedicine to care for patients. See flyer for more details.

Beginning in early 2019, the clinic in Manassas –which is housed in the same space once occupied by an abortion center – began offering pregnant mothers prenatal care. In addition, Catholic Charities will begin offering mental health counseling, pregnancy and adoption services, emergency food assistance, and health education classes. The Manassas office is housed in space owned by the BVM (Blessed Virgin Mary) Foundation, which purchased the spaces, including the shuttered abortion center, and leased them to Catholic Charities.
