Catholic Charities Seeks Material and Financial Assistance

During this critical time, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington relies more than ever on the generosity of our donors, gifts and volunteers. We have specific needs for material assistance, particularly food, as well as financial donations.

St. Lucy Food Project:

Food is the number one need people in our diocese are experiencing.  Please consider donating:

Emergency Assistance:

  • Financial contributions to help with rent and utilities

Mobile Response Center:

  • laundry detergent
  • shampoo (unscented, gender neutral)
  • deodorant (unscented, gender neutral)
  • multi-purpose household cleaners
  • toilet paper and paper towels
  • 13-gallon trash bags
  • toothpaste and toothbrushes

Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic, Manassas

  • Food for Mother of Mercy Food Bank: Food for pregnant moms: canned meats (tuna, chicken, salmon), beans, lentils, oatmeal, canned vegetables, dry/evaporated milk and protein bars.
  • Other:  Clorox wipes, hand sanitizers, calcium supplements, vitamin C, and zinc.

Christ House Men’s Transitional Housing:

  • Gift Cards for residents (Walmart Giant Safeway, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds)
  • Prepared meals for residents*

Migration and Refugee Services:
• Grocery gift cards
• Diapers (especially size 4-6)

Education and Workforce Development:
• Financial donations to assist students with getting internet access for distance learning.

• Financial donations to help clients pay for legal fees during this time with little to no income.

• Gift cards for clients to Walmart, Target, Giant, CVS, Walgreens
