Mobile Response Center

Donate to the Mobile Response Center

The Mobile Response Center delivers basic supplies such as hygiene products, diapers, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies and more directly to struggling communities each month. During the winter, coats and blankets will be distributed.

What We Do

Thanks to a partnership with Catholic Charities USA and the Ford Motor Company, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington can now provide curbside assistance to homeless and poverty-stricken communities. The Mobile Response Center is a Ford F550 with a 14’ box that will deliver supplies directly to the needy.

The Mobile Response Center (MRC) visits economically-depleted communities in our Diocese every month. The MRC provides basic supplies such as hygiene products, diapers, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies and more directly to residents.  Our clients include young families and children as well as the elderly and disabled.

In addition to the basic needs of a household, the MRC also offers special or seasonal items. For example, during the winter, coats and blankets are distributed.

The MRC relies on the generosity and support of parishes, corporations and individuals. We have learned our families need almost everything. Please consider supporting the MRC by coordinating a donation drive or donating any excess new and unused items you no longer need (e.g., bug spray or batteries).

The MRC does not distribute food.  All food donations can be made to the St. Lucy Food Project.

Give Hope

  • Volunteer to drive and/or staff our Mobile Response Center. Sign up for one day the third week of the month (or more!). Training and orientation provided.
  • Organize a donation drive at your church! Email MRC@ccda.net to coordinate.
  • Pray for our brothers and sisters struggling with homelessness and joblessness.
