Catholic Charities Counseling Services Moving to New Fredericksburg Location

Fredericksburg, Virginia, May 29, 2012 – Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington announced today that their Fredericksburg Family Services counseling office will be moving July 1 to a new Fredericksburg location on the grounds of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish.

In a partnership with St. Mary’s, Catholic Charities hopes the new location will allow the agency to assist more people in need with mental health services integrating the Catholic Faith.

“With a more strategic and central location and a dynamic partnership with St. Mary’s, we’ll be able to better serve the Fredericksburg region and areas to the south with mental health services that  minister to the whole human person,” said Art Bennett, president and CEO of Catholic Charities.
“We are very excited to assist in this wonderful service, to help our excellent Catholic Charities program provide counseling to families in our community,” said Father Don Rooney, pastor of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish. “This has been a fruitful partnership not only within our church agencies, but also in partnership with our neighbors.”

The new offices will be located at 1101 Stafford Avenue, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
