Alexandria Food Pantry (Alexandria City)

The Catholic Charities food pantry, formerly located at Christ House in Old Town Alexandria, has moved to a new location to better accommodate pantry visitors. The new Catholic Charities Alexandria Food Pantry is located at the Eisenhower Business Park at 4725A Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, VA 22304.

We provide perishable and non-perishable food, including fresh produce, dairy, and meat, and basic items such as cereal, canned vegetables, rice, and beans.

Clients are eligible to receive food once every 30 days on Wednesday or Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please arrive no later than 12:30 p.m. to allow time for check-in and in-house shopping.  For safety reasons, children are not permitted inside.

Current clients must present a valid photo ID and documentation with your name and current address at every visit.

Beginning April 12th, 2024, new clients will need to register in advance BEFORE they are invited to shop inside the pantry.  If you would like to become a client, please email AROpantry@ccda.net to request the link to sign up for registration. Once registered, new clients will be eligible to shop for food the following week.  An adult household member 21 years of age or above may register on behalf of the entire household.  This member must present a valid photo ID and documentation with their name and current address.  They must also present copies of identification for all dependents with their name and date of birth.

Our new location offers ample parking.  You will receive loading instructions for your groceries immediately following your shopping experience.  We recommend and encourage you to bring your own grocery bags to transport your groceries home more easily.

We also distribute USDA food through TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program)*. Eligibility is determined at check-in with USDA food received at the time of your visit.
